Internet Gambling Rep. Frank Will Introduce Legislation To Undo Prohibitions on Internet Gambling House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.) will April 26 introduce legislation to undo prohibitions on Internet gambling, Frank said April 25. The Massachusetts Democrat has scheduled a 10 a.m. press conference to discuss introduction of the Internet Gambling Regulation & Enforcement Act of 2007. The event will be held in Room 2220 of the Rayburn House Office Building. In 2006, Congress passed and President Bush signed the Internet Gambling Prohibition Act, which bars U.S. financial institutions from participating in transactions between a U.S.-based customer account and online gambling firms. |
